Description
Originally appearing in Crosby Gaiges Cocktail Guide andLadies Companion in 1941, the Fancy Free started as ashaken cocktail. Over time its become stirred and hasreplaced the sugar or simple syrup component withmaraschino cherry liqueur.
Ingredients
2 oz HIRSCH Whiskey
oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
3 dashes of Angostura Aromatic Bitters
2 dashes of Orange Bitters by Angostura
Directions
Combine bourbon, maraschino liqueur, orange bitters, and Angostura bitters in a mixing glass, and stir until well diluted.
Using a strainer, pour the contents into a rocks glassfilled with ice or a single large ice cube.Garnish with a flamed orange twist, if desired. Servecold.
