Jameson Black Barrel is the new interpretation of the popular Jameson Select Reserve Black Barrel and impresses with even more intense aromas and an exceptionally soft structure. The blend is made up of carefully selected small batch grain whiskeys and single Irish pot still whiskeys. What makes this whiskey particularly unique is its maturation in a mixture of American sherry barrels and double-burned oak barrels.
Burning out the oak barrels both before and after bourbon storage creates the typical strong notes that give the whiskey a special depth. This “Black Barrel” technique brings out aromas of caramel, toffee, vanilla and roasted spices that arise from the caramelized residues in the wood.
Jameson Black Barrel is rich, full-bodied and at the same time velvety soft – perfect for connoisseurs who appreciate an intense whiskey.
