Description
The Tamnavulin distillery, founded in 1966 in the picturesque village of Tomnavoulin in Scotland, looks back on an eventful history. After closing its doors in 1995, the distillery reopened in 2007 following extensive renovations and has been producing outstanding single malt whisky that embodies the authentic Speyside character ever since. The name “Tamnavulin” is derived from Gaelic and means “mill on the hill”, a tribute to the historic mill that once stood on the site of the distillery.
The latest bottling, the Red Wine Cask Edition, impresses with a special maturation in French red wine casks that previously housed Cabernet Sauvignon. This special maturation gives the whisky a rich palette of aromas, including sweet red berries, juicy plums and spicy cinnamon. This combination makes the whisky an exciting discovery for connoisseurs looking for an exceptional taste experience.
