Description
The Glen Scotia whisky is produced in the distillery of the same name, which was founded in Campbeltown in 1832 and looks back on a tradition of producing high-quality single malts spanning almost 200 years. The special location of the distillery, close to the sea and not far from the famous whisky island of Islay, shapes the unique character of the whiskies. Typical of Glen Scotia are maritime and salty notes that clearly reflect the coastal climate and give the whiskies an unmistakable depth.
The whiskies in the new series are inspired by symbolic icons of the region. For the second bottling, a 14-year-old single malt whisky was selected that was refined in rare Barolo red wine casks. This special selection of casks gives the whisky an extraordinary depth and complexity that makes it a rare pleasure.
