Morro Mezcal 750ML – The process begins with carefully selecting mature, single-origin agaves. Master mezcalero Juan Lopez Olivera combines his inherited knowledge with a passion for innovation to produce the highest quality and best-tasting spirits.

Theyuse traditional, small-batch artisanal methods, including earthen ovens, open-air wooden fermentation vessels, and small wood-fired copper stills. Morro distills its mezcal to proof, meaning they never dilute it with water, as they believe this greatly impacts the quality of the spirit. They rely solely on wild fermentation and never add artificial accelerators such as sugars or yeasts.

Themezcal is made with only one ingredient: our agave, complemented with local mountain spring water used in fermentation.

Tasting Notes

• On the nose, this mezcal has aromas of fresh lime and a subtle sharpness of white cheddar.
• On the palate, it has a medium-plus viscosity and a taste of lime Life Saver candy. There is a slight hint of kerosene in the background, which is not overpowering. The flavor also has notes of cooked and crisped cheddar, reminiscent of the bits left in a frying pan after making a grilled cheese. There is a touch of salinity similar to a martini olive and a medium, clean smoke flavor that runs throughout.
