Founded by Hagar in the late nineties, the brand has become one of the best-selling tequila brands in the United States.Cabo Wabo Aejo is matured in American oak barrels for 14 months. The amber-golden tequila presents a full vanilla and caramel nose that quickly gives way to woody notes on the palate complemented by hints of honey and chocolate. A long, delicate finish completes the experience, and makes this tequila a drink best enjoyed on its own.Among other awards, Cabo Wabo Aejo won the Double Gold Medal at the 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Cabo Wabo Tequila is a brand of premium tequila from Sammy Hagar, the lead singer of legendary band Van Halen. He started the brand in 1996 after taking a trip to Mexico and falling in love with the taste of the blanco tequila there. His partners, the Rivera family, had owned and run their own distillery in Mexico since 1937. What started as a tiny operation, with tequila served from a little barrel at the back of a bar, has grown into one of the world’s most popular brands of tequila
