Necco wafers and cedar aromas are surprising and familiar at the same time. That spiciness gives way to pure, slightly sweet apple flesh on the palate and a pleasantly waxy texture. A rather short finish adds some cardamom notes. This is an intriguing wine, full of twists and turns but still imbued with a mellow softness. And when it’s done, it’s done, leaving a rather short finish.
