Description
The name “Mac Na Mara”, which means “son of the sea” in Gaelic, refers to the rich maritime tradition of the Scottish Hebrides, which have been closely linked to the Celtic maritime kingdom for centuries. From the Middle Ages until the 16th century, this kingdom ruled the important sea routes that stretched from the Isle of Man to the Isle of Lewis. This historical significance is reflected in the origin and character of the MacNaMara.
This Macnamara Madeira Cask Whisky is first matured traditionally in bourbon casks. Through additional maturation in Madeira casks, it develops a particularly fine, subtle sweetness that significantly increases its complexity. This double maturation makes the limited MacNaMara an exceptional experience for whisky lovers who value a balanced and multi-layered aroma.
