Description
The name “Mac Na Mara”, which means “son of the sea” in Gaelic, refers to the rich maritime tradition of the Scottish Hebrides, which have been closely linked to the Celtic maritime kingdom for centuries. From the Middle Ages until the 16th century, this kingdom ruled the important sea routes that stretched from the Isle of Man to the Isle of Lewis. This historical significance is reflected in the origin and character of the MacNaMara.
The MacNaMara Rum Finish Blended Whisky has been carefully selected and perfected after a traditional maturation in bourbon casks by a refinement in rum casks. This double maturation gives the limited edition whisky a special complexity and adds a harmonious, pleasant sweetness that makes its aroma even more complex and balanced.
