Description
Kilchoman, the first new distillery to be established on Islay in more than 124 years, has today established itself as the last independent distillery on the island. This heritage shapes the unique flavor profile of its whisky, which unmistakably expresses the close connection to the unspoiled nature and traditional roots of Islay.
This Kilchoman Coull Point offered in travel retail is a vatting of 4 and 5 year old whiskies that are initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, creating an intense aromatic base. The four-year-old whisky was then given an additional four-week finish in Oloroso sherry butts, which not only gives it a special depth, but also a subtle sweetness and fruity notes that further refine the flavor profile.
