Description
Mal Bien Tobaxiche 750ML – While it shares its name with other A. Karwinskii subvarieties found throughout Oaxaca, the tobaxiche agave found in Miahuatln stands out for its larger size and sweeter flavors, distinguishing it as a unique expression.
Victor and Emanuel, representing the third and fourth generations of the Ramos’, carry forward the tradition of mezcal production in the renowned Miahuatln District of Oaxaca. This area is celebrated for its deep-rooted heritage in agave spirits, boasting a remarkable diversity of A. karwinskii sub-species such as bicuixe, madrecuixe, and tobaxiche. Their connection to the Cortes’ is through Cleotilde, Victor’s wife and Emanuel’s mother, whose sister Cesilia is married to Felipe, forming a close-knit community of mezcal producers.
While Victor and Emanuel work hand in hand, the batch codes indicate their contributions. For example, batch codes ending in VFR denote that Victor performed the cuts and final composition, while batch codes ending in ER signify Emanuel’s involvement in the cuts and composition process.
With each bottle of Mal Bien Tobaxiche, you experience the craftsmanship and dedication passed down through generations, a testament to the rich tapestry of mezcal tradition in the Miahuatln District. Savour the unique character of this mezcal, crafted by the Ramos family, with unwavering passion and expertise.
