Description
Derrumbes Guerrero is crafted by maestro vinatero Israel Ros Bucio in Coyuca de Cataln, Guerrero, using wild maguey Penca Ancha (Agave cupreata). The agave is cooked in an underground pit oven, shredded with a mechanical mill, fermented in open-air plastic barrels, and double distilled in a unique stillfeaturing a hollowed-out higuera blanca tree trunk above a copper pot.
Derrumbes Mezcal showcases the diversity of Mexicos mezcal traditions, bottling expressions from Oaxaca, Michoacn, Guerrero, and more. Each release highlights different agave species and regional production methods, often featuring small producers rarely found outside their local communities.
