This artisanal mezcal from Vago has been crafted by master mezcalero Emidgio Jarqun, using 100% Espadin agave which is 8-12 years old. It reflects Emidgios expertise and passion and also the true character of Espadin. The maguey Espadin used in this mezcal is crushed by tahona and distilled in a copper refrescadera still.

This classic Espadin boasts a smoky, herbal palate with notes of banana and star anise that linger on the finish. It is well balanced with a delicate sweetness and subtle tropical fruit and citrus notes alongside hints of flora and an undertone of minerality. This Espadin is truly unique with each bottle label being coloured to the mezcalero who produced it, and here Emidgio Jarquin has crafted something very special. Its best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to savour the complexity and flavours that sing from it.
